Answers to common questions about our work on strategy, Shopify, UX, and systems for real-world brands.
About Everyday Creative
What is Everyday Creative & Development?
Everyday Creative & Development is the creative, technical, and systems arm behind Everyday Cannabis. We design and build strategy, UX, and infrastructure for operators who need their online presence and back-end systems to actually work—not just look good in a pitch deck.
How is this different from a typical agency?
Most agencies are built around campaigns, retainers, and presentations. We are built around operations. Our work comes out of running a real, multi-channel e-commerce brand with complex logistics, not from theory. We focus on architecture, clarity, and durability—so you’re not rebuilding everything again in a year because the first version couldn’t handle reality.
What kinds of businesses do you work with?
We work with operators who sell real products or services and care about structure and execution. That includes e-commerce brands, specialty product companies, and service businesses that need their digital presence and systems to reflect how they actually run. We’re especially effective for businesses with complex catalogs, logistics, or operational challenges.
Do you only work with cannabis and hemp brands?
No. While we have deep experience in cannabis-adjacent and regulated spaces, we also work with non-cannabis businesses that value clean architecture, e-commerce discipline, and systems that scale.
Scope, Services & Capabilities
What types of projects do you take on?
Most Everyday Creative projects fall into a few categories:
- New Shopify builds and full-platform migrations
- Restructuring fragile or half-finished Shopify stores
- Metafield and data architecture for complex catalogs
- Shipping, tax, and restriction logic that reflects real operations
- UX and navigation design for clarity and conversion
- Brand refinement and product page structure/copy
- Cleanup and consolidation of messy app stacks
Do you only work on Shopify?
Shopify is our primary platform for e-commerce builds and architecture. We may work with adjacent tools and platforms when they are part of the larger system, but if your core stack is something entirely different, we will be straightforward about whether we’re a good fit.
Can you help fix an existing store instead of building a new one?
Yes. A large portion of our work involves untangling existing stores: cleaning up structure, improving navigation, rationalizing product data, tightening the theme, and reducing the number of fragile or unnecessary apps. Often, the right move is a disciplined rebuild on a stronger foundation—not a full replatform.
What about branding, UX, and content?
We provide practical branding and UX support that is grounded in how people actually shop and use your site. That usually includes:
- Brand refinement and visual direction, especially for product-driven brands
- UX decisions that prioritize clarity and conversion over trends
- Product page structure, copy, and information hierarchy
- SEO-aware page structure and content organization
- Basic graphic support for site elements, email, and ads
Do you handle ongoing marketing or ad management?
No. We are not a marketing agency, and we don’t manage ad campaigns or social calendars. We focus on the systems, store, and structure that your marketing needs in order to work.
Fit, Process & Working Style
Who is a good fit for Everyday Creative?
We are a good fit for operators who:
- Care about durable systems, not just aesthetics
- Are willing to be honest about what’s working and what isn’t
- Value structure, clarity, and clean implementation
- Understand that solid architecture is not the cheapest line item—but often the most important
How does a typical project start?
Most projects begin with a structured review of where you are now: your store, catalog, systems, and bottlenecks. From there, we outline a recommended approach—sometimes that’s a cleanup; sometimes it’s a rebuild; sometimes it’s a phased plan tied to your operational constraints.
Do you work with partially built or “DIY” stores?
Yes. Many of our clients come to us with partially built, DIY, or agency-built sites that no longer match their current operation. Our job is to untangle what you already have, rebuild where needed, and leave you with something more stable and maintainable.
Do you collaborate with internal teams or other vendors?
We’re comfortable working alongside in-house teams, agencies, developers, or other vendors as long as roles are clear. Our focus is on architecture, clarity, and making sure the system as a whole makes sense.
Pricing, Timelines & Availability
How do you price Everyday Creative projects?
Pricing is based on scope, complexity, and the depth of work required. Smaller, tightly scoped improvements may be quoted as fixed projects; larger builds, migrations, or restructures are typically priced as multi-phase engagements.
We’re not the cheapest option, and we’re not trying to be. The goal is to build systems and structures that hold up under real operational use, not the lowest possible short-term cost.
Do you offer hourly work, or only fixed projects?
Both are possible, depending on the situation. Some operators need a defined project with clear phases; others benefit more from targeted, time-bound support. We’ll recommend an approach once we understand your needs and constraints.
Do you work on retainers?
We are not built around retainers. In certain cases, ongoing support or advisory time makes sense, but the default is to design and build systems that you can operate without needing us in your inbox every week.
How long does a typical project take?
Timelines vary based on scope. Smaller cleanups may take a few weeks; full builds or complex migrations typically run several weeks to a few months. We’ll give you a realistic timeline once we understand what we’re building or fixing.
Getting Started
How do I know if my project is a good fit?
If your store, brand, or systems feel fragile, overcomplicated, or stuck—and you care more about durability and performance than hype—there’s a good chance we’re a fit. If you’re mainly looking for the cheapest build or a purely cosmetic redesign, we’re probably not the right match.
What information should I share when I reach out?
It helps if you can provide:
- A link to your current site (or a brief on what you’re planning to build)
- A short description of your products or services
- Your main pain points or what feels “fragile” or half-finished
- Any timelines, launches, or constraints we should be aware of
How do I start a project with Everyday Creative?
The next step is a short consultation request. Share what you’re working on, what isn’t working, and what outcome you’re aiming for. We’ll review your details and let you know whether it’s a good fit—and what we’d recommend doing first.
You can submit a consultation inquiry here, or contact us directly if you prefer to start with a simple message.
