Direct answers to common questions about our consulting work with hemp and CBD businesses—covering strategy, compliance workflows, operations, and digital infrastructure.
About Our Consulting
What types of businesses do you work with?
We work with operators in and around the hemp and CBD space, including growers, processors, brands, e-commerce companies, and vertically integrated businesses. We also occasionally work with adjacent industries that share similar operational or regulatory complexity.
What kind of consulting do you provide?
Our consulting focuses on the practical side of running a hemp or CBD business. That typically includes:
- Business model development and refinement
- Positioning and offer design (wholesale, retail, B2B, DTC)
- Compliance-aware workflows and operational structure
- Facility, process, and systems architecture
- Digital infrastructure and e-commerce strategy (including Shopify)
- Scaling, simplification, and cleanup of fragile or overbuilt operations
The goal is to help you build something durable and workable in the real world—not a theoretical plan that falls apart under pressure.
Do you offer legal advice?
No. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. We can help you understand common regulatory patterns, design workflows that respect compliance requirements, and point out areas where you should involve an attorney or regulator. Final decisions about licensing, regulatory interpretation, and legal risk must be made with your own legal counsel.
Fit, Scope & Engagement Model
Who is a good fit for your consulting?
We are a good fit for operators who:
- Are already in motion or preparing to launch a real business—not just exploring an idea
- Care about building clean, durable systems instead of chasing short-term hype
- Are willing to be transparent about numbers, constraints, and bottlenecks
- Understand that good operational design takes time, thought, and focused effort
If you want the cheapest possible help or a quick “rubber stamp” on a shaky model, we are probably not the right fit.
What kinds of projects do you take on?
Most engagements fall into a few buckets:
- Clarifying or restructuring a hemp/CBD business model
- Designing or refining compliance-aware workflows and SOPs
- Helping operators transition from fragile, improvised systems to more stable ones
- Planning or cleaning up digital infrastructure (Shopify and related tooling)
- Advising on growth strategy, channel mix, and operational capacity limits
How does a typical consulting engagement work?
Most projects start with a structured discovery conversation where we map out your current position, constraints, and goals. From there, we typically recommend one of the following:
- A focused, short-term advisory engagement aimed at solving a specific problem
- A more involved project that includes strategy, architecture, and implementation guidance
- Ongoing advisory support for operators navigating complex growth or restructuring
You will always know what we are working on, the intended outcome, and what decisions are needed from you.
Do you work remotely or on-site?
Most work is done remotely via video calls, shared documents, and structured communication. On-site work may be possible for certain projects, but is evaluated on a case-by-case basis and will include travel and time considerations.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. Many operators prefer to work under a mutual NDA, especially when sharing financials, IP, or internal process detail. We are comfortable working under appropriate confidentiality agreements.
Compliance, Operations & Systems
Can you help with licensing and compliance?
We can help you think through licensing pathways, regulatory implications of certain business models, and how to structure workflows so they are easier to keep compliant. We are experienced working in licensed environments with inspections, recordkeeping requirements, and Total THC rules.
That said, we do not replace an attorney or state regulator. You are responsible for final licensing decisions and formal regulatory interpretations in your jurisdiction.
Do you consult on cultivation and operations?
We can assist with higher-level cultivation and operational questions—such as facility layout logic, production flow, capacity planning, and integration with downstream sales and logistics. We are not selling “magic grow recipes,” but we can help you design operations that are manageable, measurable, and grounded in reality.
Do you help with e-commerce and digital infrastructure?
Yes. A large part of our work involves digital systems: Shopify architecture, data structure, shipping logic, state restrictions, and how your online store connects to your real-world operations. For many hemp and CBD businesses, this is where things either break—or finally start working consistently.

Pricing, Value & How We Work
What does consulting cost?
Pricing depends on scope, complexity, and level of involvement. Smaller advisory projects may be billed on a flat or limited-scope basis; larger, more complex work is typically structured as a project with clearly defined phases.
We’re not the cheapest option, and we don’t try to be. The goal is to deliver clarity, structure, and systems that actually hold up under real operational pressure—not the lowest possible rate.
Do you offer one-time sessions or only longer projects?
Both are possible. Some operators just need a focused session or short advisory window to pressure-test a model or plan. Others need a deeper project to untangle systems, rebuild structure, and support implementation. We’ll recommend an approach based on what you’re trying to accomplish.
Do you work on retainers?
We are not an agency chasing retainers. In some cases, ongoing advisory support makes sense, but the default is to help you get to a more stable, self-sufficient place—not to keep you dependent on us indefinitely.
Getting Started
How do I know if my project is a good fit?
If you are running—or preparing to run—a real hemp or CBD business and feel that your strategy, structure, or systems are limiting you, there is a good chance we can help. If your primary priority is finding the lowest-cost option or a quick fix without confronting the underlying issues, we are probably not the right fit.
What do you need from me before we start?
At minimum, we need a clear picture of what you are doing now, where you want to go, and what’s getting in the way. That usually includes:
- A short description of your current business or planned business
- Your primary revenue streams or intended revenue streams
- Your biggest current constraints or pain points
- Any deadlines, licensing timelines, or operational realities we should be aware of
How do I request a consulting engagement?
The next step is a short consultation request. Share what you’re building, where things feel stuck, and what outcome you’re aiming for. We’ll review your details and follow up with clear next steps and whether the project is a good fit.
You can submit a consultation inquiry here, or contact us directly if you prefer to start with a simple message.
